10th Annual National Haitian Student Conference

Greetings, it is my honor to inform you about the 10th Annual National Haitian Student Conference. This event will be taking place on March 2 - 4, 2007 at Pennsylvania State University. This event is being hosted by the Pennsylvania Haitian Student Association, a statewide organization dedicated to the empowerment of Haitian/Haitian-American students as well as the development of the Haitian community in Pennsylvania.

Since 1998, over 1,000 students and professionals from around the country have gathered annually to discuss pertinent issues challenging the Afro-Haitian and African Diaspora community at the National Haitian Student Conference. This year, this decisive event will take place at Pennsylvania State University.

The title of the 2007 conference is “The Haitian Renaissance: Where We Come From, Where We Are, Where We’re Going”. NHSA and PHSA seek to engage attendees in a dialogue that will promote community building and activism through intense development of health, financial, social and leadership skills.

It would be a great honor to have the sponsorship of Haiti Innovation, as students across the U.S. make a grand effort to impact the greater youth community.

This event is not only for the Haitian-American community, but for those who believe in empowerment and change through actions. We welcome all to come and learn about the Diaspora and also motivate others to accomplish their own movement.
